With 1,696 inhabitants, the municipality achieves a peak value of 0.94 assistance missions per 100 inhabitants – making it the most helpful municipality in Switzerland.

Village spirit beats big city anonymity
It is not only Bäch that is impressive: municipalities such as Zufikon (AG), Turbenthal (ZH) and Schöftland (AG) also have above-average rates.
Among the cities, Baden, Kloten and Opfikon are at the top of the list. Although Zurich has recorded over 600 successful interventions, its figures are lower than many smaller towns in relation to its population.

At the cantonal level, Schwyz tops the ranking, driven by particularly active municipalities such as Bäch and Freienbach. This shows that the culture of helping others varies greatly from region to region in Switzerland, but benefits from digital mediation everywhere.
