How your booking becomes support for someone else
1. Create a job
Describe what you need help with and publish your job for free – from childcare, pet care and household tasks to gardening, moving, computer support or skilled work.
2. Find the right support
Receive offers from service providers in the KnowS community and decide who is the best fit for you and your task.
3. Book securely through KnowS
Book the support you need directly through KnowS and pay securely via the platform.
4. Give time together
Every successfully completed booking adds 10 minutes to our shared time account. After six bookings, we provide a KnowS voucher worth CHF 60 to someone who needs support.
There are no additional costs for you as part of this initiative.
One hour can make a real difference
Everyday support is not something everyone can take for granted. For families and single parents, older people, people facing financial difficulties or anyone temporarily in need of help, one hour of support can provide meaningful relief.
The KnowS voucher can be used for suitable services including childcare, pet care, household help, gardening, moving and transport, computer support or skilled work.
Know someone who needs support?
If you know a person or family for whom an hour of support could make a real difference, you can nominate them. You can also contact us yourself if you need support and cannot currently afford it.
We review the nominations and allocate the available vouchers to selected people who need support in their everyday lives. A nomination does not guarantee that a voucher will be awarded. If you nominate someone else, please only submit their details with their consent.
Together, minutes can become many hours
We believe social commitment does not have to begin with large projects. It begins wherever people support one another.
With “One Hour for Switzerland”, we connect local services with social commitment. People find support through KnowS, while others offer their skills and earn money. At the same time, every successful booking creates a contribution for people who cannot currently afford this support themselves.
10 minutes become 20. 20 become 30. And many individual bookings grow into more and more hours of support.
What we achieve together
As the first vouchers are awarded, we also want to share selected stories and show what one hour of everyday support can make possible.
